These drivers are extremely inconsiderate of neighbors of homes they are servicing. Two trucks blocked a main alley (the only way to access my garage) for several hours while they packed up a house. When politely asked to move from the alley to the street (which has plenty of parking available), they responded with “not our problem, call our office” to which nobody answered the phone after several attempts. Metro PD was eventually able to force them to move their vehicles hours later. I would strongly advise against doing business with anyone that employs such careless employees.

When I told David that the workers on his team weren’t worth the 100 dollars per hour I was paying for them, he got angry with me on the phone and insulted me. Stupid! I am still waiting to get the received compensation for damaging my dresser.

They are so sketchy on the phone about what the price will be and then they send you a very confusing quote via email. I even called to ask about the quote details and they don’t give clear answers about anything. A 2 hour move that I thought would be $500 minus the $100 deposit I made ended up being over $700. The first thing the movers said to me is they take cash tips and then proceeded to load ALL of my fragile boxes on a dolly and drop them down the stairs. The workers were nice and all but the whole experience left has left me salty and I don’t recommend this company at all.

Our experience with True Friends Moving was so disappointing to the point of frustration. 5 weeks after our move, we still remain unreconciled. True Friends came highly recommended by two trusted colleagues who used their services within the past 6-8 months. Unfortunately, due to our experience, we cannot recommend their services to anyone. We talked with our Relocation Specialist, on 5 different occasions about our moving needs. Primarily, how important it was for us to be OFF PROPERTY by a certain time. Given this information, we were advised to have 3 movers come the day before to pack up the kitchen and prep the house for the next day’s move. Further, on the day of the move, it was suggested that we have 3 movers and 1 truck make two runs to complete the job. What actually happened was just the opposite. The packing crew did not do an adequate job packing the kitchen. Besides spotting the haphazard manner in which they packed (evident by sugar pouring out of the bottom of a closed box) our dishes were not wrapped sufficiently. This contributed to the unbelievable amount of dishes and décor that was broken. The packing crew packed the kitchen boxes too heavily (this was a direct comment from the moving crew). The packing crew was to prep the house for the moving crew. Their task was incomplete, mainly due to running out of materials like shrink-wrap and blankets. At the recommendation of Relocation Specialist, the packing crew would also tear down the beds. However, this became problematic for the moving crew because they had a difficult time matching the hardware to the correct bed. As a result, I found the matching hardware and set up 3 beds, as well as assisted with the fourth. On moving day, the foreman contacted Relocation Specialist to convey that the job was too big for 3 crewmembers and a truck. I received a phone call saying that they could not guarantee that the move could happen in one day. They were reminded, once again, that we needed to be off the property. Their recommendation was to send another truck and an additional 2 movers to get the job done. This, of course, would be at an additional cost. The moving crew as professional, but VERY frustrated with the lack of information provided for them. Many of our belongings were damaged. Even after the second truck and 2 additional crewmembers arrived, my family assisted the crew by: 1) moving some of our own furniture out of the house, 2) due to the time constraints, moving our belongings off the premises and across the street to the neighbor’s yard. If we were not off the property, it would have forfeited the closing funds for both homes, 3) shrink-wrapping some of our own furniture and then removing it, 4) helping move our items into our new home. This whole matter could have been less severe if: 1) someone from True Friends would have come out to see access the job, 2) the Relocation Specialists would have shared with the moving crew that we needed to be off premises by a certain time, and 3) the packing crew would have communicated with the True Friends office about our home and its contents to be moved, and 4) the packers and the movers were the same people. At this juncture, we are still awaiting a settlement from the Claims Department. Better yet, it took a series of phone calls, voicemails, and 3 entire days to get a claim form. Unbelievable! Additionally, we submitted our claim, with all the documentation, pictures, signed contractual agreements, and supportive evidence, to the Claims Office on 3/29/19. We have had to personally call and call again to get an answer similar to, “We should hear something soon.” The 7-10 day settlement review period is 4 days shy of an entire MONTH. Having relocated/moved from three different states, with 3 kids and dogs, this is, by far, the worst moving experience we have had. The distance between the two houses? 7.63 miles.
