Medal Of Honor Moving Group is whack, they delivered bush league service, and the crew seemed untrained and inexperienced. They are overpriced and a total waste of money and time.
These movers will hold your furniture, and demand that you provide cash (when a cashier check was instructed). You need to GET A COPY OF YOUR AGREEMENT, make sure it states what you agree to. Take photos of your items, ours was damaged on all our items. They used NO WRAPS for your furniture.
This company is a scam. I contracted moving services through Medal of Honor Moving and needed my car shipped too from NV to GA. Sonia gave me a referral to another company called US Auto Transport aka Regal Transport. The owner is Ronnie and was told that they give good rates and are a good company to work with. Spoke to Ronnie, rates seemed reasonable, received my contract, and paid a deposit of $225. I called Ronnie a week or so prior to giving him my actual address and everything was still on schedule. On the day my car was supposed to be picked up I didn’t hear from the driver or the company. I called early afternoon to voice my concerns and was told not to be concerned that the driver was running behind schedule but was on his way and would contact me 1-2 hours out. It’s now evening, and I still have not heard from anyone. I called the office and this time the office was closed. I left an urgent message for Ronnie explaining the situation and also stating that I had an evening flight, and needed to know where was the driver? No response or phone call. I barely caught my flight and had to leave my car and items behind. The next day I received a call from someone wanting to confirm my pick-up date. I stated that you guys screwed me over and that the car was supposed to be picked up the day before. I was blatantly lied to and never heard back from Ronnie or his company, no apologies and they kept my deposit even though they were in the wrong. US Auto Transport/Regal Transport is a scam and Medal of Honor works closely with them by referring customers and receiving a kickback. They are all THEIVES AND I WANT MY MONEY BACK!
As my go-to moving company, Medal Of Honor Moving Group consistently impresses me with their diligence and skill.
There is not enough space on here to sufficiently describe our move. We moved from Chicago to Austin and they changed the pickup date twice before they even showed up. It was supposed to be a DIRECT move yet that is NOT what they told the carrier and we didn’t receive our furniture until 8 days later. They even put it in writing and still didn’t honor what they said. 1. Lowball estimate just to get our business. The cost increased by $3,000 even though we sent them an itemized inventory list beforehand. We refused to pay them 3 grand more when it was a nightmare even at that point. We rented a truck and my husband drove the remaining items himself. 2. The moving crew that showed up was 1 grown adult and 4 or 5 teenagers. They had no tools and my husband had to assist them. The crew that showed up when they finally delivered our stuff consisted of a middle aged married couple and that’s it. My husband had to unload the truck with them to get it done before midnight. 3. They lied to us repeatedly about our belongings and how long it would take to get them. The trip was supposed to be 3 days. We had no clothes, dishes, sheets, etc. We slept on the floor for 6 nights while receiving some of the most horrible customer service imaginable. I was on the phone crying because I had a job interview with no clothes to wear to it and then had to go on a scheduled overseas trip with little more than the clothes on my back. Come to find out, the truck was literally sitting in a warehouse the majority of the time. 4. We packed our stuff very well with bubble wrap, etc. and stuff was still broken. Some of my grandfather’s vinyl records are broken and can’t be replaced. You can tell the containers were dropped and/or just thrown on the truck. I am also missing a box of my clothes and the frame for my son’s bed is missing. Plus we have a box of books that actually don’t even belong to us. We were trying to support this business but you should pick someone else. ANYONE else.
This I company is a broker. Their customer service is completely lacking, not customer friendly, and, quite frankly useless. It took multiple calls to all of the various phone numbers (including a wrong # provided by the Quality guy) to get a pick up date for a small amount of goods being shipped from FL to SC (this was not a complete move). After finally getting a pick up date, they could not tell us when the shipment would even leave Florida, as it was not a full truck load. The shipment did leave and was delivered to our daughter, BUT there was only one guy with the truck who did not put the bed together and could not get another piece of furniture upstairs by himself, and thus had to gain help from a family member. THIS IS A DIRECT VIOLATION OF THEIR CONTRACT! Because our shipment was small, we were told there would be a reduction in the final payment based upon the weight, but the driver demanded full payment IN CASH (with a 90 minute delivery notice on a Sunday) before unloading the truck. Tried to reach our sales person today, as I am seeking a partial refund. He referred me to their customer service # but naturally they did not answer the phone and I had to leave a message. VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS COMPANY AND WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.
